The event was conducted under the supervision of qualified healthcare personnel ensuring a safe, hygienic and well-managed donation process.
Eye Camp Program was organized with the aim of promoting eye health and providing accessible eye care services to the community. This initiative focuses on early detection, prevention and awareness of common eye-related problems contributing to improved vision and overall quality of life. The camp was conducted by qualified ophthalmologists and trained medical professionals. Services include comprehensive eye examinations, vision screening, consultation and guidance on proper eye care. Patients requiring further treatment or corrective measures will be appropriately advised or referred.

The program started around at 9am and ended at around 11am. This project was accomplished by selecting suitable land, preparing the soil, and planting trees according to the area’s climate and needs.

To support individuals and families during the cold season Free Warm Clothes Donation Program was organized with the objective of promoting warmth and community care. This initiative aims to collect and distribute both summer and winter essentials to those who are most vulnerable to harsh weather conditions. Under this program items such as jackets, sweaters, coats, shawls, pants and other clothing was distributed free of cost to people in need including the elderly, children, daily wage workers, and underprivileged families.
Breast cancer awareness and harmful pesticide-use awareness programs are usually conducted because both issues directly affect public health and can be prevented or reduced through education. Its main motive was to teach people about early signs, self-examination, and the importance of regular screenings, also to reduce stigma and fear. Along with promoting healthy lifestyle habits and support patients and families.These programs also provide emotional support and guidance for those undergoing treatment.Pesticides Awareness was conducted to teach people about health risks from toxic chemicals.Excessive or unsafe use of pesticides can cause long-term health problems such as respiratory issues, skin diseases, neurological problems, and, in severe cases, cancer. Awareness programs teach safer pesticide handling, alternatives like organic farming, and proper washing of produce. Many people unknowingly consume harmful residue. Awareness helps reduce these risks and promotes safer food practices.
Melvin Jones Day is observed annually on January 13 to honor the birth anniversary of Melvin Jones, the founder of Lions Clubs International. A Childhood Cancer Awareness Program was successfully conducted at Wisdom English Academy, Kalanki with the objective of educating students about childhood cancer, its early signs, and the importance of awareness and timely support.During the program, age-appropriate and informative awareness sessions were delivered to help students understand basic facts about childhood cancer and encourage empathy, care, and social responsibility from a young age. The session was interactive and engaging, allowing students to actively participate and learn in a positive environment.A total of 91 students benefited from the awareness program. The activity was carried out by a dedicated team of 7 members, who worked together to ensure the program was impactful and well-managed.

Our club, in coordination with Lions Club of Laligurans, successfully conducted a Traffic Awareness Program aimed at educating the public on safe road practices. During the program, informative pamphlets were distributed highlighting key messages such as 'Use the Zebra Crossing,' 'Give Way to Ambulances,' 'Avoid Unnecessary Honking,' and more. Our members actively engaged with pedestrians and drivers, especially those not following traffic rules, to raise awareness and promote responsible behavior on the roads.

The Leo Orientation program was organized by Leo Club of Kathmandu CIST and Lions Club of Kathmandu at Campion College. The program was facilitated by Leo Pushkar Shrestha, District President. There program aimed to orient the students about the Leo its working field, function and all.
The club meeting was convened to discuss key administrative and program related matters. Members reviewed ongoing activities and planned upcoming programs. A major point of discussion was the nomination for District President including an overview of the role, eligibility criteria, and identification of candidate. Members shared opinions and agreed on the nomination process and next steps.The meeting also included discussion on future club programs, timelines, member responsibilities and coordination with district activities. Financial considerations related to upcoming programs were briefly addressed. The meeting concluded with announcements, confirmation of decisions taken.
The Leo District Council 325D , District President visited the Sankhu Leo Club for an official interaction with club members. The visit focused on reviewing the club’s activities, achievements and overall performance during the tenure. The District President appreciated the club’s initiatives and shared guidance on leadership, teamwork and adherence to district goals. Key discussions included strengthening member engagement, improving program impact and aligning future activities with district priorities.
